Adding Footage

As previously stated, we are adding footage into our music video to strengthen the narrative. To do this we are filming shots that show the couple at happier times to clearly show the break down of their relationship at the end of the video. Given that we have challenged certain stereotypes of a female pop artist and sub genre indie-pop, when it comes to filming these scenes, we didn't want to show the cliche 'happy couple' moments as this just doesn't fit in with the theme of our video. We want to show moments were the audience know that the couple are happy without actually showing it. Video, such as the ones below, are very good examples of this.



Lana Del Rey's 'Born to Die' video clearly shows the couple are together without revealing their emotion that much.



Our final product can relate to Niki Minaj's 'Right Thru Me' video a lot. This music video shows the break down of a relationship, interview the happier time the couple shared. Shots like this is what we will include in our music video.
