Planning Question One & Question Two

Question One:
For question one we have decided to go with the theme of a documentary that will be debuted on 'E1', This will be set in the home studio of the artist. We will edit the video so that there are overlays and cutaways to our music video and the music videos of other artists to show our inspiration. We will also edit in the 'E1' logo in the bottom right hand corner to make it look more realistic. The interview will be very laid back and will let the artist have lots of freedom and time to answer the questions. This will therefore make the audience feel more comfortable as it is less formal and will consequently make the artist look like an average person. Subsequently, this makes her more accessible for the audience, this conforms to Andrew Goodwin to create a star image that young girls can relate to.

At the beginning of the documentary we will display jump cuts of our video, this conforms to Andrew Goodwin and Laura Mulvey of voyeurism and holding the male gage. It will then cutaway to the artist and the interviewer beginning the interview, walking towards the scene where the interview will be conducted, however the interviewer will begin the interview as they are walking alone. This will make the interview look like an average conversation where two peopl are engaged in the topic of the artists music career. This will make the artist appear and feel more comfortable. This idea was taken from Ryan Seacrest's interview with Selena Gomez.
