We have used these codes and conventions throughout our own music video. For example we have used thought beats in our music video by cutting the video to the beat of the song when the bridge ends and the chorus begins. By doing this we have created an effective music video that is fast paced.
Star image is a minimal convention in our music video this is because we wanted to evade the stereotypical pop/indie videos to give our artist her own identity. Stereotypically, artist such as Lana Del Ray and Foxes wear noticeable make-up in their videos and we didn't want to portray this image and therefore our artist has worn natural make-up. Also our artist is wearing quite symbolic clothing which is also very minimal, such as the floaty dress representing her loss.
